GMDSS Short Range (Radio Operator) Certificate ( RYA)

Course details

 The one day  consists of lectures and demonstrations on general theory and voice procedures for using VHF radio, with practical sessions on voice procedures and use of GMDSS DSC radios in the afternoon. Second day consists of practical sessions followed by the exam, completing lunchtime.

This is one of the courses which need to be completed if your are wanting to achieve the Seafish under 16.5m Skippers Ticket. 

Tuition fee: £200 + £60 RYA license fee (funding subject to eligibility)
Thanks to support from the Department for Transport and the European Maritime Fisheries Fund, Seafish is currently able to fund the tuition fees for this course for experienced fishermen, providing they hold certificates in Sea Survival, First Aid, Fire Fighting and Safety Awareness.

£60 RYA Licence fee (funding subject to eligibility)
Passport size photo with candidates name on the back
